Three Days Searched, Jambi Residents Found Dead In The Ale River

The joint SAR team found Winanto's body (52), the victim drowned in the Ale River, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province on the third day of the search.

Jambi Basarnas spokesman M. Lutfi in Jambi, said the victim was found by the team floating in the river.

"The location where the body was found is about five kilometers from the scene on Sunday, June 4," said Lutfi, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 6.

The search for victims was carried out by a joint SAR team consisting of the Bungo SAR Post Basarnas, elements of the local TNI and Polri, Tebo BPBD, and the local community, after they received reports from residents related to the incident.

He explained that the search was carried out by a team by sweeping the river. On Tuesday, at around 09.00 WIB, the team found Winanto dead in the Ale River channel.

The team then evacuated the body from the river and then taken it to the Olak Kemang Health Center for further treatment, before being handed over to the family for burial.

Based on information obtained by the local Basarnas, on Sunday (4/6), at around 13.00 WIB, Winanto slipped and drowned in the Ale River, Olek Kemang Village, Muara Tabir District, Kapupten Tebo, while looking for grass for animal feed in the area.

After handling the body's findings, the local Basarnas closed the joint SAR team operation, while team personnel then returned to their respective units.
