The Regent of Central Lombok, H Lalu Pathul Bahri, issued a circular (SE) regarding the Supervision of the Neutrality of State Administrators in order to prevent practical politics in the 2024 General Election.

"This is to anticipate that the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) will be involved in practical politics in the 2024 General Election," said Head of Bankespoldagri Central Lombok Regency, Murdi in Praya, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Tuesday 6 June.

With the SE, it is hoped that all state administrators, both executive and legislative, and village officials, can focus on carrying out their duties in accordance with the rules.

"All state administrators must be free from practical politics," he said.

The circular was issued based on the laws and regulations and joint decisions of the Ministry of PAN-RB, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Bawaslu of the Republic of Indonesia regarding practical politics either directly or through social media.

"The SE was issued based on a joint decision of three ministries with the aim of maintaining the neutrality of state administrators," he said, quoted by Antara.

In the circular also, civil servants or civil servants are prohibited from campaigning or supporting prospective election participants. In addition, state administrators should not like, comment and post 2024 election participants on social media.

"Kompanye di media sosial juga tidak boleh. Baik itu hanya like, komentar, share dan posting," katanya.

He said the 2024 election stage had now begun, but so far there have been no reports from state officials involved in practical politics.

He also appealed to the organizers to comply with the circular issued, so that the 2024 election runs safely and smoothly as expected.

"Witnesses for organizers who do practical politics certainly exist in accordance with the rules," he said.
