Also, appreciate the Muslim scientists who helped start the COVID-19 vaccine technology.
"Today, we celebrate the extraordinary stories of the irreplaceable contribution of Muslims throughout this great nation. Muslims-Americans, parts of the United States who are diverse and enthusiastic, make invaluable cultural and economic contributions to communities throughout the country," said President Biden.
Furthermore, the Democratic Party politician said that American Muslims have a key role in his government to overcome the climate crisis, rebuild the economy, maintain health, restore alliances and more.
"And I am very proud to have nominated the first American Muslim to be confirmed as a member of the federal parliament. I have appointed the first Muslim to serve as Ambassador to International Religious Freedom (Rashad Hussain, ed)," said President Biden.
"And this is very important because at this time, around the world, we see so many Muslims being subjected to violence. No one, no one should discriminate who is oppressed - or oppressed because of their religious beliefs," he stressed.
President Biden said Muslims make the American nation stronger every day, even when they face real challenges and threats in society, including targeted violence and existing Islamophobia.
According to him, doing more fairly, more inclusively for American Muslims is an important part of forming a more perfect unity.
"And the toughness of American Muslims to enrich the order of this nation is proof of the teachings of the Qur'an: "We have made you a nation and a tribe so you can get to know each other", President Biden said, citing the Letter of Al-Hujurat Paragraph 13 in the Qur'an.
"The final part: so that you can get to know each other. Our differences shouldn't be an obstacle that separates us, but an opportunity to learn from each other," he explained.
