This New Hybrid SUV From Huawei Can Take Over 1,000 Km

JAKARTA - China's automotive industry continues to deliver innovations with impressive electric and hybrid vehicles, equipped with the latest technology and amazing performance.

To attract the attention of electric vehicle enthusiasts, several manufacturers are able to release models that are no less than European brands, but at a more affordable price. Most recently, the electric car company owned by Huawei, AITO, launched an attractive hybrid SUV, the standard edition of AITO M5. This car has a modern and dynamic body design.

Reported by Carnewschina on Monday, July 3, AITO M5 has a dual-lens LED headlights with the AITO logo in its center. The bottom ring of the car has six iron lines reminiscent of the design of Toyota 86.

The back of the car is equipped with a rear light that runs from the right to the left. Additional light in the form of a "C" is also placed under the light line with the "AITO" emblem.

Inside, AITO M5 is equipped with a simple instrument panel sailing 10.25 inches and a 15.6-inch control screen placed in the middle.

The middle console is equipped with two cup holders and double wireless charging. AITO also provides Huawei Sound audio system for car users' entertainment.

However, what's interesting about this car is its performance. The standard edition of AITO M5 is equipped with a 1.5 liter engine in collaboration with one electric motor.

AITO offers variants with rear wheels (RWD) and four wheels (4WD) driving. The RWD variant has up to 268 dk of power and a 360 Nm torque, allowing this car to reach 0-100 km/hour in 7.1 seconds.

For more impressive performance, AITO M5 4WD generates up to 489 dk of power and 675 Nm of torque, allowing this car to reach 0-100 km/hour in just 4.4 seconds.

Supported by the Huawei platform, namely DriveOne ePowertrain, AITO M5 is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 40 kWh, which provides a range of about 260 km in electric mode according to CLTC calculations.

However, with the full gasoline and battery tank, this car can cover a distance of up to 1,455 km. The fuel consumption is also quite efficient, around 4.87L/100 km.

In fact, his distance beats Honda Clarity as a hybrid car with the furthest range, which is 547 km.

This latest edition of AITO M5 is priced starting from 259,800 yuan or around Rp539.6 million for the RWD variant. While the 4WD variant is sold at a price of 279,800 yuan or around Rp581.2 million. The launch of this car is scheduled for next August.
