JAKARTA - The Korean drama The Killing Vote will premiere on the Prime Video platform on August 10. The thriller series stars Park Hae-jin, Park Sung-woong, and Lim Ji-yeon as the main characters.

The drama, which was broadcast by SBS and produced by Pan Entertainment and Studio S, was adapted from the popular webtoon of the same name which explored the meaning of justice and featured a national vote for the death penalty for the cruel criminals.

The story highlights a mysterious figure who carries out the death penalty according to the results of the vote, as well as the police who chased them. Park Hae-jin will play the leader of police team Kim Moo-chan, a police officer who managed to move up to be team leader in a short time.

Park Sung-woong will play Kwon Seok-joo who is serving a prison sentence after surrendering himself for killing the perpetrator of sexual harassment against his eight-year-old daughter. Meanwhile, Lim Ji-yeon plays a lieutenant who was once the mainstay of the Cyber Investigation Team.

"In The Killing Vote, we invite the audience to reassess the true meaning of justice, while enjoying the sensation and excitement of this masterpiece," said Hae-dong Jin, Head of Content Business of SBS Contents Hub, quoted from ANTARA, Monday, July 17.

By presenting 12 episodes, the first two episodes will be broadcast at once on Prime Video on the day of its premiere, Thursday 10 August, while new episodes will be released every Thursday.
