Rieta Amalia Not Present, Gono-Gini Assets Lawsuit Session Gideon Tengker Postponed

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court (PN) held the inaugural trial of the Gono-gini property civil lawsuit filed by Gideon Tengker against his ex-wife, Rieta Amalia today, Thursday, June 22.

As previously known, the two parents of Nagita Slavina must undergo a legal process. Gideon demanded the right to 11 assets after divorcing Rieta in 2017.

Gideon Tengker was present at the trial accompanied by his attorney, Erles Rareral. But on the other hand, Rieta Amilia did not appear to be present.

Erles Rareral said that the absence of his client's ex-wife was due to a misalignment in the summons. Through the trial that took place today, it was known that Raffi Ahmad's father-in-law had changed addresses.

"That there was a summons from the South Jakarta District Court, but it was returned on the grounds that the person who was summoned had changed addresses," said Erles Rareral after the trial.

However, Erles believes that the address contained in the summons is correct. The reason is, Gideon Tengker himself ensured that the address in the summons letter was correct.

"Information from Om Gideon as an ex-husband, that it's their house and there's still a lot of stuff there," he said.

Gideon Tengker's attorney also questioned the reason for Rieta's absence. According to him, as the defendant should have known that today is scheduled for trial.

"If the indications are avoiding, I think my friends understand better. All the reports in all media have come out, that there will be a trial today," he said.

Before leaving the South Jakarta District Court, Gideon Tengker also advised his ex-wife, Rieta Amalia.

"Thank you for not coming or not having time to come. And hopefully everything will go well under God's protection," concluded Gideon Tengker.

For information, the next trial will be held on July 6.
