Fast Train Station Asked To Present Betawi And Sundanese Cultural Acculturation

Deputy Minister II of the Ministry of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo asked PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) to present cultural acculturation both Betawi and Sundanese culture in ornaments and activities in all Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train Stations (KCJB).

This was conveyed by Tiko as Kartika Wirjoatmodjo's nickname after making a visit to the Halim Fast Train Station to see the progress of the construction and the plan to optimize the station.

Furthermore, Tiko said, Fast Train Station is not only a place for passengers to go up and down but also a tourist destination or community activity center.

"It is hoped that later all KCJB stations can become a place that offers cultural acculturation, both Betawi culture and Sundanese, on the ornaments and activities in it," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, April 26.

Tiko emphasized that KCIC must think out of the box to present various interesting activations, entertainment, and events at stations in order to increase public interest in coming to the station and using KCJB.

"With good retail management, later KCJB Station will not only be used for passenger ups and downs but also as a meeting point and community gathering place," he said.

Meanwhile, KCIC Corporate Secretary Rahadian Ratries said that the progress of the construction of the Halim Fast Train station continues to run well. He said, KCIC continues to coordinate with all stakeholders so that development can run smoothly and service preparation at the station can run optimally.

"Currently, the construction of the Halim Fast Train Station is continuing. The construction of the building structure is almost complete and currently an acceleration of completion is being carried out for architectural work, namely walls, ceilings, faults, and roofs as well as mechanical, electronic and plumbing work," said Rahadian.
