Instagram Will Label Photos Produced By AI And Bring Many New Features
JAKARTA - Meta seems to be working on a generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature on its Instagram social media, including implementing labels on content generated by Meta AI.
First reported by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi on his Twitter, showing Meta taking a different approach to Instagram which will have a direct impact on the user experience.
One of them is a label that helps them distinguish between the photos produced by AI and the original. This feature will of course help, both the company and users to curb misinformation.

And ease user concerns about the negative impact of generative AI. Meta will also ask its content creators to add markers created by AI to posts they upload from other tools.
With more interaction on Instagram Direct Message (DM), Meta brings an AI-powered tool that will summarize long messages for users to save time.
In addition, Instagram also uses generative AI to facilitate photo editing and get the perfect image in Stories uploads.
The first is AI Wish, with this users can change the image section, using a generating AI to fill the void.
Others are dubbed Restyle, users can recreate the part of the uploaded image using a text command.
So if users want a different background, they can add a preferred description of the settings and replace certain elements with AI-made alternatives.
There is also a Standouts feature, according to Paluzzi, this feature is a way to celebrate people and moments that help shape the user's Instagram experience.

So far, Meta has not disclosed many details about a generative AI plan for consumers. However, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has provided some clues.
"We are also building a number of new products ourselves using Llama that will function across our services," Zuckerberg said in a quarterly earnings call last week.
Llama is the next generation big language model (LLM) for commercial purposes and research, as quoted from Engadget and ZDNet, Tuesday, August 1.
You can imagine many ways AI can help people connect and express themselves in our apps, creative tools that make it easier and fun to share content, agents who act as assistants, coaches, or who can help you interact with businesses, content creators and more," Zuckerberg said.
