Apple Finally Allows Twitter Rebranding App To X

JAKARTA - After becoming a public conversation, Apple finally allowed the name of the Twitter rebranding application, X on its App Store.

Elon Musk, as the boss of X, announced the change in the Twitter logo to X exactly a week ago. After that, various company's official social media also changed logos.

Unfortunately, not with the app on the App Store which still lists the name Twitter instead of X. This is because Apple does not allow developers to name their apps only one character.

Although the name of the application on iOS can be up to 30 characters, but the length must be at least two characters. Otherwise, the name of the application will be rejected by Apple.

From VOI's observation, it seems that now Apple has relaxed its policies by allowing the app to name itself X.

Shows that the app received special treatment from Apple to allow single character names, as quoted by The Verge, Tuesday, August 1.

Now, if Apple's product users are looking for X or Elon Musk on the App Store, then there will be social media app X there, along with the slogan Blahe your glory!.

Currently, X is also in the process of changing the name of its subscription service from Twitter Blue to X Blue. Inversely proportional to the Play Store, Google has allowed the app to name itself X instead of Twitter on Android, without having to wait long.

Meanwhile, among the applications installed on Android, the application is still Twitter and the application package ID (APK) remains with the address "com.twitter.android" internally.
