Take The Methamphetamine Package Attached To The Wall, SMK Teacher In Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi Arrested

SULTRA - Police arrested a Vocational High School (SMK) teacher in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).

Head of the Kendari Police Narcotics Unit, AKP Hamka, said the vocational school teacher was arrested while taking methamphetamine which was attached to the wall of Jalan Kelapa Kuning, Wawoanggu Village, Kendari City, Sunday, July 23 at around 13.00 WITA.

"He (vocational school teacher) was arrested when he wanted to take a pass on methamphetamine," said Hamka in Kendari, Monday, July 31, which was confiscated by Antara.

He also mentioned that the teacher had the initials NR (49), taught at a State Vocational School in Kendari City.

He explained that NR's arrest began when residents suspected the perpetrator's movements while at the crime scene (TKP).

"Residents then reported the matter to the Kendari Police," he said.

After receiving the report, Hamka continued, the Kendari Police then dispatched the Narko 10 Sat Narcotics Team to a place that was informed and carried out surveillance of the perpetrators.

"After being stalked by the Narko 10, NR was immediately arrested and did not fight back," he explained.

He said, from the hands of the perpetrators, the police secured evidence in the form of methamphetamine-type narcotics weighing 0.41 grams, pieces of pipettes and a cellphone.

Based on NR's interrogation, he admitted that he bought the illicit goods from a man with the initials TR whom he knew on social media at a price of Rp. 300 thousand.

Not only that time, said Hamka, the perpetrator admitted that he had ordered methamphetamine from TR seven times.

"The perpetrator admitted that he had bought methamphetamine seven times from the man," he said.

Hamka said that to account for his actions, the perpetrators would be charged with Article 114 paragraph 1 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum threat of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
