In Front Of Mayors Throughout Indonesia, Ganjar Explains The Vision Of Eradicating Corruption

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo conveyed his vision about eradicating corruption in Indonesia at the XVI National Working Meeting of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (Apeksi) in Makassar, Thursday, July 13.

"When I first served as governor, I asked the public what problems should be resolved. The majority mentioned corruption. After that, I promised not to be corrupt and not deceive. So when I came forward, my tagline was 'Mboten Korupsi Mboten Ngapusi' which means no corruption and no fraud," he explained.

And that's not just a tagline. In the course of his leadership, Ganjar revealed that he had dismissed the head of the service involved in the corruption case.

"Recently, there were students who claimed to be subject to fees by schools, even though SMA, SMK, and SLB Negeri in Central Java were free. It turns out that there are still levies under the pretext of infaq. So I have changed the principal at this time," he said, greeted with lively applause from the mayors throughout Indonesia who attended the event.

Saat Indonesia sedang mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia untuk menghadapi bonus demografi, praktik korupsi masih terjadi di dunia pendidikan. Selain itu, kasus korupsi juga masih terjadi di hampir semua sektor.

"I believe almost all regions face the same problem related to corruption. Usually, corruption arises from ourselves, we build it ourselves, and we create it ourselves. Therefore, we must solve it," he said.

The problem of corruption is a problem faced by all regions in Indonesia. Therefore, when asked whether Ganjar Pranowo would make the corruption eradication program the main vision if he ran as a presidential candidate in 2024, Ganjar answered firmly.

"There are characteristic similarities that are complained of by the community in all regions, namely eradicating corruption. Everyone will agree. We must be serious in dealing with this," he said.

Ganjar stated that if his government is clean and sincere in serving the community, then the problems faced by the community can be resolved. "And this does not only apply in Central Java, but in all places. This must be a top priority," he added.

The mayors who attended as participants seemed enthusiastic to hear Ganjar's explanation. Ganjar always gets applause when he conveys his vision regarding the eradication of corruption. "Mantap Pak Ganjar, is very firm in dealing with corruption," said several mayors at the event location.

The XVI Apex National Working Meeting in Makassar was attended by all mayors throughout Indonesia. The event presented three prospective presidential candidates in 2024 as speakers, namely Ganjar Pranowo, Anies Baswedan, and Prabowo Subianto.
