The Papua Police DVI Team Handed Over 6 Bodies Of Victims Of The SAM Air Plane Crash

PAPUA - The Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team of the Papua Regional Police handed over the bodies of six victims of the SAM Air plane crash to their families.

After the handover, the six bodies that had been put in coffins were immediately taken to Sentani Airport, Jayapura Regency, to be flown to Nabire and Elelim.

Head of the Medical and Health Division (Dokkes) of the Papua Regional Police, Kombes Nariyana, said that currently the six bodies have been handed over to the families.

"It was recorded that two bodies were buried in Sentani, Jayapura Regency, namely Co Pilot Levi Murib and Dormina Heleroan," he explained to Antara, Thursday, July 13.

Meanwhile, he said, the other four victims, namely the PK-SMW plane pilot, the late Heri Permadi, were flown to Nabire, Central Papua, and those flown to Elelim, Papua Mountains, were the bodies of Petrus Kepno, the late Roni Heleroan, and the late Abed Heleroan.

A SAM Air Minarno representative separately explained that the airline had rented three planes, namely two planes belonging to Smart Air and Alda Air.

The Smart Air plane carried the body of Pilot Heri Permadi and flew it to Nabire.

Then Alda Air and Smart Air planes flew the bodies and families of the late Petrus Kepno, the late Roni Heleroan and the late Abed Heleroan to Elelim, Yalimo Regency, Papua Mountains.
