Acting Governor Of DKI Heru Budi Affirms JIS Is Not Revitalized But Improved

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono admitted that he was not aware of the issue of improving the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) being dragged into the political realm. Heru also doesn't want to bother about this polemic.

"I don't know. I knew I worked," said Heru, Tuesday, July 11.

Heru assessed that JIS is a well-functioned stadium. It's just that, according to him, JIS needs to be refined. Given, the government has made JIS an option for the U-17 World Cup venue.

"Actually, the sentence is not revitalization, but improvement. JIS is already good, already good, we improve facilities and infrastructure in the surrounding environment. JIS is good. Yes, indeed, the need to go in to watch, the community needs access out and transportation, we prepare," he explained.

Previously, a spokesman for the presidential candidate Anies Baswedan, Surya Tjandra, accused a number of President Joko Widodo's ministers of JIS of political origin.
