Indonesian Embassy In Tokyo Urges Indonesian Citizens To Beware Of Oanas' Stirs
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Tokyo issued an appeal to Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Japan to be aware of the high hot weather in the country.
Deputy Indonesian Ambassador to Japan John Tjahjanto Boestami in Tokyo on Tuesday asked Indonesian citizens to keep their bodies from experiencing a fever or increase in temperature in a short time due to high hot weather.
"In connection with the high hot weather, especially in the Kanto to Kyushu areas in recent days, especially in the Tokyo area with temperatures of more than 35 degrees Celsius, we urge Indonesian citizens in Japan to avoid activities outside the home as much as possible during the afternoon to evening," he said as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 11.
Indonesian citizens are asked to immediately contact the nearest health clinic or hospital if they experience symptoms of a hot shock.
"Take care of the health of yourself and your family by following the advice from the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo and the health authorities related to Japan in each region," he said.
Japanese-related authorities on Monday (10/11) issued high hot weather warnings for Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, and Ibaraki for the first time this summer as the temperature flared.
In the Tokyo area, temperatures exceeded 35 degrees Celsius, prompting local officials and governments to warn residents of the risk of hot stings.

Through social media, the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo also issued an appeal to anticipate hot weather in Japan for Indonesian citizens accompanied by tips on dealing with high hot weather.
The appeal is to avoid contact with the sun directly by wearing a hat or umbrella if you have to travel.
Then, wear clothes that are light and loose and use a moisturizer that can protect the heat of the sun.
In addition, adjusting the cooling temperature indoors, getting enough rest and drinking water as often as possible.
Symptoms of hot shocks, according to the Ministry of Health, include headaches, excessive sweat, pale skin, cold body, fast breath, nausea, and muscle aches.
This condition can be overcome by drinking enough water, spraying the body with water and resting for at least 30 minutes.
The worse condition when people experience a hot shock is that there is a rapid increase in body temperature to 41 degrees Celsius within 10-15 minutes. Indonesian citizens who are starting to experience these symptoms should immediately call the Japanese emergency number for an ambulance 24 hours at number 119.
