The Prime Aircraft Bombing B-52 Landed In Indonesia During The Joint Exercise Of The US Air Force
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Air Force (AU) together with the United States Air Force (US) held the first joint landing exercise of the bomber aircraft.
The US Embassy said, for the first time in history, two US B-52 bombers landed in Indonesia on Monday, June 19.
The bomber's mission landed at Kualanamu Airport, Medan, to carry out joint exercises with Indonesian Air Force F-16 aircraft.
According to the US Embassy, the B-25 aircraft came from the 23rd Bomb Expedition Squadron (23EBS) based at the Minot Air Base, North Dakota.
The bomber participated in a joint exercise with the interoperability landing with the Indonesian Air Force and the US Pacific Air Force (PACAF).

A total of 60 crew members of 23EBS were involved in a joint exercise with the landing of the bomber in the framework of COPe West 2023, which is a bilateral exercise that is taking place at Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base, Pekanbaru on 12-23 June.
In the joint exercise, air force personnel from the US and Indonesia will train tactical combat capabilities, evaluate proficiency, identify future training opportunities, and improve capabilities that are inseparable from various bilateral missions.
This year, Indonesia and the US will carry out the 10th COPe West joint exercise in Indonesia. COPe West is a joint routine exercise that was first held in 1989.
In coordination with components, allies and other partners, US Pacific AU prepares capabilities in air, space and cyberspace in a sustainable manner for US Indo-Pacific Command to enforce rules-based international order and ensure free and open Indo-Pacific, the US Embassy said.
