Filming Holiday, Michelle Joan Grateful To Be Able To Accompany Mother At The Last Moment
JAKARTA - Michelle Joan was deeply saddened that her mother, Devi Damayanti, died on Sunday, June 18 in the morning at Fatmawati Central General Hospital, South Jakarta.
The 30-year-old actress said that her mother, who had breast cancer in the last 3 years, had decreased last week. The poor condition of her mother, who is known to have experienced paralysis in some of her body, made her have to be treated intensively in the hospital.
However, Michelle Joan feels grateful that she doesn't have a work schedule and can accompany the deceased in his final moments.
"I think God has arranged everything. I happened to be on holiday yesterday, today is also a shooting holiday, so I can accompany my mother to the funeral. It seems that God has arranged it," said Michelle Joan after the funeral procession for her mother at the Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta on Sunday, June 18.
Despite the sadness in her face, Michelle said that her mother was now in a good place. He was grateful that his mother no longer needed to feel pain.
"Mama's illness has been directly appointed to God, so mama doesn't need to feel pain anymore. I'm sure mom is already in a better place," he said.
Regarding the location of the chosen funeral, Michelle said that her mother did want to be buried at the Tanah Kusir TPU. The reason is, many family members are also buried in the same location.

Furthermore, Michelle also shared her mother's latest condition. After being found to have breast cancer 3 years ago, the mother had undergone surgery.
The mother's condition worsened and often complained of pain in the waist. After checking, there is a lump in the bone which then affects the nerves.
"Last year he often complained of back pain. It seems that there is a lump on the bone and it gets to the nerves. So he parallelizes the waist down," concluded Michelle Joan.
