His Love For Barcelona Makes Lionel Messi Not Look At The Offers From European Clubs

JAKARTA - Lionel Messi opened up about his steps going forward after he was no longer with Paris Saint-Germain. He chose to'self-admit' to the United States with Inter Miami.

Messi said he actually wanted to return to Barcelona. However, that wish was difficult to materialize because his former club was still having financial difficulties.

The Argentine later revealed that there were a number of offers from Europe. However, his love for Barcelona made him not look at the offer in the slightest.

"I got an offer from another European team but I didn't even evaluate them because my idea was to go to Barcelona," Messi said.

The 37-year-old later said he wanted to find something else. He also considered Inter Miami to be able to make that happen.

"I also want to find something else and a little peace of mind," said Messi about the reason for choosing Miami.

"(I) will stay in the United States and enjoy (life) more daily but with the same responsibility to want to win and always do things well," he continued.

Messi's decision certainly took the whole world by surprise. Moreover, Inter Miami is in bad shape after slumping last season and then making the coach, Phil Neville, have to leave.

However, Messi doesn't seem to care. He seems to be challenged to that.

Messi scored 672 goals in 778 appearances during his tenure at Camp Nou, Barcelona headquarters.

The impact has decreased after joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2021. However, 32 goals in 75 appearances are still a good return.
