Hajj Candidate From Aceh Receives 1,500 Riyal Funds For Baitul Asyi Waqf

BANDA ACEH - Aceh Embarkation Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH) stated that pilgrims from Aceh who were already in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, had started receiving Baitul Asyi waqf funds of 1,500 riyals.

The chairman of PPIH, the Aceh Embarkation, Azhari, has fostered the distribution of Baitul Asyi waqf starting with a candidate for Hajj Group 1. The information was obtained from the Hajj Officer for Group 1 Area, Umar Rafsanjani.

"The amount of funds (waqf) received was 1,500 riyals each, or around Rp. 5.9 million," said Azhari in Banda Aceh as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 6.

Prospective Hajj Group 1 as many as 393 people received Baitul Asyi waqf funds on Monday (5/6) afternoon Saudi Arabia Time, at Baitul Asyi Waqf Office, Aziziyah, Mecca.

The money for compensation for Baitul Asyi's waqf for Aceh pilgrims in 2023 was handed over by Sheikh Abullative Baltou as nazir waqf.

"Today it was distributed to Group 2, around 2 o'clock Saudi Arabia time," said Azhari.

According to Azhari, Baitul Asyi's waqf money was distributed to all pilgrims departing from the Aceh Embarkation.

To be able to receive these funds, each pilgrim must show a Baitul Asyi card which is distributed in the Hajj dormitory before leaving for the Holy Land.

Azhari also said that the amount of Baitul Asyi's funds for Aceh pilgrims this year is the same as the previous Hajj season, which was 1,500 riyals.

"Alhamdulillah, the distribution of Habib Bugak Asyi waqf money this year is still the same as last year, which is 1,500 riyals per congregation. Meanwhile, in 2019 each Aceh Hajj pilgrim received 1,200 riyals," he said.

The provision of waqf funds for Acehnese pilgrims has been carried out since 16 years ago. He hopes that these funds can be used by the congregation as well as possible.
