Central Aceh Kejari Set 3 Three Corruption Suspects For TK/PAUD Education Equipment

The Central Aceh District Attorney (Kejari) has named three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of Educational Equipment (APE) for children at the Kindergarten (TK) education level and Early Childhood Education (PAUD) at the Central Aceh Education Office (Disdik).

Head of the Central Aceh District Attorney's Office, Yovandi Yazid, said the three suspects were AS and MJ from the company and RUS as PPTK at the Central Aceh Education Office.

"Based on the report on the results of the Aceh BPKP calculation, there was a state loss of more than Rp. 1 billion," said Yovandi in Central Aceh as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 31.

He explained that the APE procurement project at the Central Aceh Education Office took place in 2019 with budget sources from the Aceh Special Autonomy Fund (DOKA).

The project is separated in two parts, namely APE Dalam with a budget of IDR 2.4 billion, and APE Luar also with a value of IDR 2.4 billion.

However, he continued, in its implementation the investigative team found a volume shortage of each APE procurement, causing state losses.

"The investigative team has obtained sufficient evidence to increase the status of AS, MJ, and RUS as suspects," he said.

Currently, the prosecutor's office has not detained the suspects. The three suspects are also said to be outside the area.

"We will summon the three suspects, we will speed up the summoning process," said Yovandi.

The three suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) Jo Article 3 Jo Article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption or Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55
