Building 4 New Traditions Towards Indonesian Football Celebration, PSSI Chairman: Key Words, Execution
JAKARTA - PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir asked all Indonesian football stakeholders not to be complacent with the achievement of the 2023 SEA Games gold medal. He said it should be the starting point for the revival of national football.
Erick made the gold medal in Cambodia an important moment for Indonesian football to start new traditions towards glory.
Erick will carry four new traditions in his leadership era. He is also optimistic, with the four new traditions, national football achievements will be on par with Indonesia's advanced economic growth in 2045.
The four new traditions are early childhood coaching, financial transparency, higher achievements, and the tradition of long-term program commitments for Indonesian football.
The new tradition is included in the Garuda Menduna 2045 program. He said the steps to advance Indonesian football could be smooth if professional and family cooperation was carried out.
"The keywords are execution. This must be done in parallel from the center to the regions and running in harmony for short, medium and long-term programs," said Erick in his remarks at the 2023 PSSI Ordinary Congress, Jakarta, Sunday, May 28.
"We will make sure and continue to encourage the program in Garuda World 2045 so that the results are as expected," he continued.
On this occasion, the Chairman of PSSI also said that there would be assistance funds to the Provincial Association (Asprov) which will start this year. The value is IDR 300 million.
This assistance fund is provided to encourage regions to support the 2045 global Garuda program. Erick Thohir hopes that the regions must have the same roadmap and will not be left behind to build football from below.
