Culture Removes Plate Number So Consideration Of Application Of Manual Tickets
JAKARTA - The National Police has again implemented a manual ticketing pattern for traffic violators. One of the considerations is that many people have removed their number plates to outsmart the ETLE action.
"There are new cultures of society because they use electronic ticketing or they are ticketed with the ETLE earlier, so, there are so many who have their number plates on their license plates, or the number plates removed," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Sandi Nugroho to reporters, Tuesday, May 16.
Then, other considerations are the type of traffic violation that has the potential to cause accidents. Where, it often happens in areas that are not reached by ETLE.
"There have been several incidents that have happened to the community, especially traffic accidents, because they violated the traffic regulations that were not covered by ETLE earlier, for example there were three rides, then no helmets," he said.
"The accidents seemed to have occurred in front of the eyes of the officers but could not be done anything because they were not covered by ETLE," continued Sandi.

A series of considerations were included in the discussion until it was finally decided to apply the manual ticket again. The decision is only for the good and safety of the public in driving.
"Well, the results of these evaluations are because this endangers motorists and other communities as well as in certain matters so that if it can result in fatal incidents, manual ticketing in certain cases will be applied again," said Sandi.
For information, the manual enforcement mechanism was abolished by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The decision was issued in the telegram vein Number ST/2264/X/HUM.3.4.5./2022, dated October 18, 2022.
