Agency Announces Lucas Out Of NCT And WayV
JAKARTA - SM Entertainment released a statement regarding Lucas' status as a member of NCT. After a long hiatus for promotion, the agency stated that Lucas left WayV and NCT which oversee him in the entertainment industry.
Today, Wednesday, May 10, SM Entertainment uploaded a statement in Korean, English and Mandarin. They also explained Lucas' plan after leaving the NCT unit and group.
"This is SM Entertainment. We want to make an announcement regarding Lucas' upcoming plans," SM Entertainment said today through official social media.
"After discussing with Lucas, we reached an agreement to part with NCT and WayV to focus on their activities," the agency said.

"We ask for understanding and support considering this decision was taken after considerations between members and supporters," he explained.

They appreciate and support Lucas who will start his solo career. Ending his letter, SM Entertainment thanked fans for their support for Lucas.
Lucas plans to show his appearance through various individual activities from now on. Once again, we are grateful for the love and support from fans and ask for support in the future, thank you," concluded SM Entertainment.
Lucas was last involved in controversy in August 2021. Several women claim to be his ex-girlfriend claiming Lucas' actions such as gaslighting. At that time Lucas wrote an apology along with the agency announcing Lucas' vacuum to reflect on his actions in the past.
Lucas is one part of SM Rookies and officially debuted in 2018 with NCT 2018 Empathy album. He performed songs for NCT U and WayV. In 2019 he also joined as a member of SuperM for promotion in the American market.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment did not explain Lucas' status as a member of SuperM until now. Lucas is also absent from the promotional activities of NCT and WayV who are on a fan meeting tour.
