Minister Of Finance Asks For Handling COVID-19 To Make Experiences Related To Health Emergency
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati asked for experience during the health emergency phase due to COVID-19 in Indonesia to be used as an experience in exploring knowledge for the development of public health services. "I hope friends in all health environments learn a lot. Don't let such an extraordinary phenomenon pass by, it's only recorded in my APBN," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 8. Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) throughout 2020 has raised the National Economic Recovery (PEN) budget from Rp170 trillion to Rp300 trillion. Then in 2021, said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, it will be Rp500 trillion. "Don't let the pandemic become just a budget figure, but the substance I hope it can be captured," said Minister of Finance. Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani also hopes that various challenges and changes during the pandemic can be anticipated early on, so that it can minimize the risks posed. She stated a commitment to support the development of the health ecosystem through the 1,000 Medical Scholarship Program sourced from the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP).
