From The Aginst The Machine's Rage Until Kate Bush Enters The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
JAKARTA - The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame officially announced the award recipients this year.
Raga Aginst The Machine, Willie Nelson, Total Elliott, George Michael, Sheryl Crow, The Spiners, and Kate Bush will all be sworn in at the ceremony held in Brooklyn on November 3.
In addition, Chaka Khan, Al Kooper and Bernie Taupin will receive the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame's Musical Excellence Award.
Meanwhile, DJ Kool Herc and Link Wray will receive the Musical Influence Award. The late creator and host of Don Total Train is the recipient of this year's Ahmet Ertegun Award, which awards industry professionals for poor performance.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at the Barclays Center. Details of TV broadcasts will be announced in the future.
"We are very pleased with this year's class," said Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame CEO and president Joel Peresman quoted from Blabbermouth on Thursday.
"People always try to rule out what rock and roll is, but our story always is that it's a broad tent. It includes all kinds of different genres. We think this class really shows the breadth of rock and roll.
When you have Elliott, Sheryl Crow and The Spiners with Rage Against The Machine and Willie Nelson, you cover a lot of things.
The Induction of Rage Against The Machine at Rock Hall will be carried out after the band appears in six ballots.

If you look at one of the Rage Against The Machine shows last summer, you will find it difficult to make arguments against us."
