JAKARTA - Boxing legend Mike Tyson recounted the moment when he managed to get revenge for his idol boxer, Muhammad Ali. Tyson's intention began when he witnessed Mohammad Ali's defeat to Larry Holmes.
At that time, 14-year-old Tyson watched Ali and Holmes fight in 1980. At that time Ali, who was 38 years old, challenged Holmes for WBC and Ring Magazine titles.
Tyson the teenager in the end had to go home in tears. The reason is, Ali, who at that time was good at losing to Holmes.
"We went to see Muhammad Ali fight Larry Holmes in the ring. But he (Holmes) beat Ali," Tyson explained as quoted by The Sun.
"We all went home, 30 miles south, no one said a word in the car for 30 miles," he continued.
"We got into the house, went to our beds, everyone went to bed, no one said anything," Tyson said again.

The moment of Ali's defeat at that time made Tyson very disappointed. He also brought the idol's defeat into his personal grudge after a day later he spoke with the coach, Cus D'Amato.
"I was talking on the phone, I said (to Ali), 'When I grow up, I'll take your revenge. 'I'll knock it down (Holmes) for you'," Tyson said.
"Ali said, 'Yes, I am the greatest fighter ever and I am undergoing treatment for illness. But I will come back and paralyze Holmes'."
Eight years later finally fate brought Mike Tyson to the figure of Larry Holmes. Before the fight, Muhammad Ali took the time to get into the ring to give Mike Tyson a whisper.
