Arrested By Joint Team, This Is The Crime Of KKB Members With Initials B

TIMIKA - A joint team from the National Police in the Cartenz Peace Task Force arrested a member of an armed criminal group (KKB) in the Ilaga area, Puncak Regency, Papua. The perpetrator who was arrested had the initials B alias YM.

Head of Damai Cartenz Operations 2023, Kombespol Faizal Ramadhani said that B's arrest began with a community report related to the existence of the KKB member.

This report was then followed up by officers and made arrests since last Wednesday, April 5.

"For now, the person concerned has been detained at the Puncak Police, for examination by investigators," said Faizal in his statement, Friday, April 7.

Faizal explained that B was a subordinate of the leadership of Puncak KKB, Numbuk Telenggen and Pilanus Walker. B is also said to have participated in carrying out a number of attacks from the KKB.

"Members of KKB B alias YM have been involved in several actions that have caused casualties, both from civil society and the TNI-Polri apparatus," he said.

This KKB member, continued Faizal, was involved in the shooting of a motorcycle taxi driver named Udin who died on April 14, 2021 in Eromaga Village, Omukia District, Puncak Regency.

Then, B also participated in the burning of the BTS Tower on January 3, 2021, as well as the burning of P. Ersa's UP MI815 helicopter at Aminggaru Airport on April 11, 2021 in Puncak Regency.
