Jalan Pantura Pati-Surabaya Damaged, Improved Dikebut Target Kelar D-10 Lebaran 2023

JATENG - Repairs to Jalan Pantura Pati in Central Java (Central Java) continue to be accelerated. It is targeted that the project will be completed by D-10 Lebaran 2023.

Head of the Pati Regency Transportation Agency, Teguh Widyatmoko, said that it is hoped that vehicles from the Pati and Surabaya directions can pass comfortably without being disturbed by damaged roads during the 2023 Eid homecoming and reverse flow.

"The information we have obtained is that project implementers are targeting road repairs on Jalan Pantura Juwana (Pati)-Rembang (Surabaya) to complete D-10 Lebaran so that the traffic flow of travelers is smoother," he said in Pati, Central Java, Monday, April 3, which was confiscated by Antara.

He revealed that the traffic flow will also run smoothly as before because vehicles from the Pati and Surabaya directions can pass comfortably without being disturbed by damaged road conditions.

For now, there are still obstacles because there are still concrete road repairs that have been damaged by casting them gradually.

For private vehicles and motorbikes, he said, they could go through alternative routes to avoid congestion. However, the condition of the road is indeed damaged.

"The Pati Regency Government hopes that there will be improvements in access to alternative routes, both from the Provincial and central governments as compensation for road construction so that many vehicles use this route," he said.

Alinani, a resident of Batangan, Pati admitted that traffic jams were still happening and the length was estimated at 10 kilometers due to Rembang.

The reason is because there are still road repairs on the Batang-Juwana section, so passing vehicles also have to take turns.

"Vehicles passing are also dominated by trucks moving so that the queue becomes long and must be patient so that they can pass," he said.
