Jun Ji Hyun And Kang Dong Won Get New Drama Offers, North Star

JAKARTA - Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won may be collaborating in the latest Korean drama. Both reportedly received offers to star in a drama titled or Polaris.

Launching TV Report, IEUM HASHTAG, which oversees Jun Ji Hyun, confirmed the offer. However, neither Ji Hyun nor Kang Dong Won are still considering the drama offer.

"Jun Ji Hyun got a role through the drama North Star / Polaris and is reviewing it positively," said the IEUM HASHTAG agency statement.

Kang Dong Won's party also said, "This is one of the projects offered to the actor."

North Star or Polaris is a spy romance drama that tells the story of agents who are looking for their identity. This drama was written by Kim Hee Won who worked on Crash Landing on You, Vincenzo, and Little Women.

The script will be worked on by Jung Seo Kyung who wrote a number of box office films such as The Handmaiden, Mother, and Decision to Leave.

This news is a surprise for drama fans. The reason is, if Kang Dong Won accepts this offer then Polaris is confirmed to be Kang Dong Won's return to the television screen after 20 years. He last starred in the drama Magic in 2004.

Unlike Kang Dong Won, Jun Ji Hyun starred in a number of dramas such as The Legend of the Blue Sea, Kingdom, and Jirisan. He was also seen attending the Burberry fashion show last February.
