JAKARTA - The Telecommunication Network Operators Association (APJATEL) held the 2023 APJATEL RAKERNAS, which raised the theme Connectivity for the Sovereignty of Digital Transformation for Indonesian Unity.

The theme of this year's APJATEL National Working Meeting is based on the spirit to realize national digital transformation, which is a government program to encourage the wider adoption of digital technology in more regions in Indonesia.

"This year's National Working Meeting is expected to become a joint forum between interested parties to jointly realize the government's digital transformation program," said Jerry Siregar, General Chair of APJATEL in his remarks on Wednesday, November 29 in Jakarta.

According to Jerry, digital transformation requires the participation of all levels of society, various ministries, related institutions and also the central government. Therefore, this National Working Meeting is expected to be a forum for national discussion to make it happen.

More specifically, this year's APJATEL National Working Meeting also includes discussions and discussions related to accelerating the expansion of digital infrastructure to reach more people in various regions of the country, in accordance with the direction of Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

"Through APJATEL's involvement, we believe that the digital infrastructure development plan can be carried out well and can support the digital economy in Indonesia," said the Special Staff of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information Sarwoto Atmo Sutarno, who was present representing the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi.

Currently APJATEL is also compiling a white paper entitled Infrastructure Digital Indonesia through the Giga City Towards Digital Vision 2045 initiative which will be launched in the near future. This White Paper is expected to be a reference for stakeholders, both the government and business actors in Indonesia.
