Juventus Ready To Break Paul Pogba's Contract

Juventus will terminate Paul Pogba's contract after the midfielder is sanctioned with a four-year ban from doping cases.

The Italian Anti-Doping Court found Pogba guilty and banned him from playing until September 10, 2027.

The decision continues to make Juventus have to determine the fate of the French player as soon as possible.

La Gazetta dello Sport reports that La Vecchia puna has been preparing to terminate the contract since December 2023.

Pogba is also reported to have not received a salary of 130,000 pounds per week at Juve since being suspended temporarily from the club in September 2023.

The threat of termination of the contract led to a lot of speculation about Pogba's football career. There are rumors that the 30-year-old midfielder will retire because he will turn 34 after being released from punishment.

However, Juventus has yet to provide an official statement regarding Pogba's contract.

Meanwhile, Pogba has not yet finished fighting for justice. He plans to appeal to the Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

If his appeal is accepted, the ban on playing can be reduced. With a note, he can prove that the forbidden substance (doping) is in his body due to contamination or accidents.

Paul Pogba has only played 12 times for Juventus since returning to Turin after six years playing at Manchester United.

The Red Devils signed him from Juve with a club record transfer of 89 million pounds in 2016. He then won the Europa League and made 225 appearances, 39 goals, and 51 assists for Manchester United.

However, the winner of the 2018 World Cup with the French national team was no longer liked at Old Trafford and returned to the Old Lady two years ago (2022).

However, his second period in Turin was damaged by several injury problems before receiving a ban due to doping cases.

Together with the French national team, Pogba has packed 91 appearances. Apart from the 2018 World Cup, he brought Les Bleus to win the Nations League in 2021.
