Mixed Team Asian Badminton Championships: The Indonesian Team Didn't Take Long To Beat Lebanon 5-0

JAKARTA - The Indonesian team passed the first test at the Mixed Team Asia Badminton Championships very smoothly. The Red and White Squad won 5-0 over Lebanon, Tuesday, February 14.

Indonesia's good performance was opened by the men's singles action, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, who faced Abi Younes Christophe. Ginting rode off without a hitch to bring Indonesia 1-0 up.

The badminton player from Cimahi won two games with a score of 21-6 and 21-6 in just 17 minutes.

The good start for the Indonesian team continued when Putri Kusuma Wardani played in the second match in the women's singles. Facing Zeina Kazma, Putri KW secured a landslide victory with a score of 21-5, 21-4 which made Merah Putih lead 2-0 again.

In the third match, the steps of the Indonesian representative also went smoothly without a hitch. The men's doubles represented by Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto also helped secure an easy win over Lebanon.

Meanwhile, two other representatives who helped Indonesia win perfectly compactly recorded a duration of 15 minutes to beat their opponents. Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti who represented the women's doubles won a landslide victory 21-4 and 21-5 over Mira Houssein/Zeina Kazma.

Meanwhile, Rehan Naufal/Lisa Ayu in the mixed doubles also managed to win easily. They were ahead of Oliver Khoury/Lynne El-Jabbour with a score of 21-3 and 21-5.

After facing Lebanon, on the same day the Indonesian team will also face Syria in the second match. The meeting will take place at 20.00 WIB.
