JAKARTA - Just introduced globally in early September, Mini brought Countryman EV at the Climate Week NYC event, in the United States (US).

Launching Carscoops, Monday, September 18, Mini only brought the latest Countryman as a display at the event. The model is scheduled to arrive at the US market in the fall of 2024.

Countryman EV continues the work of the utility that has been built by Mini for a long time. The British manufacturer also brought this model with the spirit of "Fun to Drive" which has been a trademark for a long time.

The SUV was previously exhibited at the IAA Munich event on September 5. The latest generation countryman has dimension greater than its predecessor. With a length of 4,433 mm, a width of 1,843 mm, and a height of 1,656 mm.

This third-generation countryman presents an expressive minimalist exterior design with a distinctive character. This vehicle retains the iconic Mini proportion, including short overhangs, short engine hoods, and contrasted long-wheeled axes. The rim is also 20 inches bigger, the wheel arch is wider, and the reduction in chrom detail provides a more modern look.

The 2024 interior Countryman is equipped with a curved dashboard covered with textile surface on several levels and an OLED screen measuring 9.44 inches. The operating system is Operating System 9 and can receive voice commands via the nickname "Hey Mini" or by using the push-to-talk button at the wheel that activates the Personal Assistant Mini Intelligent.

Countryman 2024 can accommodate five passengers and have a separate panoramic glass roof. The back row can be adjusted in terms of up to 130 millimeters long, which can increase the passenger's rear leg space or baggage room. The volume of baggage in its normal position is 460 liters, which can be increased to 1,450 liters with a rear seat when folded.

There are two power variants offered: Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4. Countryman E has a range of 462 kilometers WLTP with a power-powered motor of 204 dk and a torque of 250 Nm. Countryman E can shoot from 0 to 100 km/h within 8.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 169 km/hour.

Accompanied by variant E, Countryman SE ALL4 is more powerful with a range of 433 km WLTP and is equipped with a four-wheel drive configuration and a double electric motor that produces a combined power of 313 dk and a torque of 494 Nm. And SE ALL4 is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/hour within 5.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 178 km/hour.

Both Countryman E and SE ALL4 are equipped with the same 64.7 kWh battery pack. Both variants can receive up to 22 kW of AC power and up to 130 kW on DC fast chargers.
