JAKARTA - A man from Rawasari, Central Jakarta, was beaten by residents when he was caught carrying an Avanza car, on Thursday morning, March 21, at around 02.00 WIB on Jalan Haji Ten, Rawamangun, East Jakarta. The perpetrator is known to be a contractor who has only lived in the victim's house for four days.

"He fled and turned left towards the highway, instead hit a motorbike that was parked. He got out of the car and wanted to run away but was caught by the residents who were chasing him," he said.

The perpetrator was secured into the security post. When asked by the victim, the perpetrator admitted that he also stole Rp500 thousand in cash, dozens of cigarettes from the victim's shop.

"He took cigarettes, money, and watches. There were about 50 packs of cigarettes, around Rp. 500 thousand in cash," he explained.

Furthermore, Alboin Sijabat said the perpetrator entered the shop to retrieve all the keys, including motorcycle keys and cars.

"When the shop was quiet, I was taking a shower, and my wife came home. At the shop but a lot of people drank coffee, but she managed to sneak," he said.

It was later discovered that the perpetrator turned out to be a contractor in the victim's boarding room. The perpetrator just signed on March 15.
