TANGERANG - Tangerang Class I Detention Center officers managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle 5.5 grams of methamphetamine which was packaged hidden in shoes brought by visitors with the initials TB.

The head of the Tangerang Detention Center, Khairul Bahri Sirega, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Monday, March 18.

The incident began when a P2U officer named Aditya suspected the movements of one of the visitors who was about to enter the detention center. When checked, it turned out that 5.5 grams of methamphetamine was found.

"It is true that methamphetamine that was packaged hidden in visitor shoes was successfully thwarted by Tangerang Class I Detention Center officers," Bahri said when confirmed, Tuesday, March 19.
