TKN Not Worried About Prabowo-Gibran's Electability Down Due To DKPP's Decision

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Grace Natalie, admitted that she was not worried that the electability of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 had decreased due to the DKPP decision.

According to Grace, voters are already smart in responding to the decision of the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) RI which stated that the chairman and members of the Indonesian KPU violated the code of ethics because they accepted the registration of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate in the 2024 election.

"God willing, Prabowo-Gibran's electability will not decrease. Voters are smarter, educated by this issue that no law has been violated and what we hold is law," he told reporters after receiving volunteer support in the courtyard of Prabowo's residence, Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta. reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 6.

Previously, TKN had confirmed that the DKPP decision was not related to the legal standing of Gibran Rakabuming Raka's candidacy as a participant in the 2024 presidential election.

Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran Habiburokhman explained that the decision only targets alleged ethical violations from the Chairman of the KPU, not Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is currently registered as vice presidential candidate number 2 accompanying Indonesian Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto.

DKPP at the trial in Jakarta, Monday (5/2), decided that the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU and six other members violated the code of ethics because they accepted the registration of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate.

Chairman of the DKPP Heddy Lugito, when reading the verdict, also imposed sanctions on the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU in the form of the last stern warning.

The verdict is a follow-up to three complaints, namely Demas Brian Wicaksono who is registered in Case Number 135-PKE-DKPP/XII/2023, Iman Munandar B. (136-PKE-DKPP/XII/2023), PH Hariyanto (Number 137-PKE-DKPP/XII/2023), and Rumondang Damanik (Number 141-PKE-DKPP/XII/2023).
