BATAM - presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan said the importance of prioritizing the maritime area of Indonesia, especially from foreign fishing boats.

This was conveyed by Anies, responding to problems related to the North Natuna Sea where many foreign fishing boats were still found in the area.

"Regional sovereignty must be maintained and that is why in yesterday's debate we conveyed the importance of prioritizing the maritime area of Indonesia, especially from foreign fishing boats that are often accompanied by armed civilian ships that interfere with our sovereignty. So there must be more steps to save our area," said Anies in Batam City, Riau Islands. reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 19.

In addition, he also mentioned that related to the development of a national strategic project (PSN) involving the wider community, there must be talks to completion.

"Talking is usually long, but there is always a way to reach a common ground. It's just that the government can't wait to follow the process, it wants to hurry up, mobilize the apparatus and it becomes a problem, even though if it is discussed thoroughly, the meeting point, God willing, can happen," he said.

Anies Baswedan said that his party prioritizes improving trading procedures in buying and selling basic commodities to provide affordable prices for the community.

According to him, by making improvements to the trading system, it can provide trade procedures that are free from mafia practices.
