Megawati: Power Is Delicious But Don't Forget Mainland

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri said humans will always be given trials. One of them is power.

This was conveyed by Megawati with a heart in the Christmas celebration with the theme "Love Peace of Struggle" at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta This activity was attended by the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives who is also the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and other invitations such as the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (MenPPA) I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati.

"As humans, we are always given trials. All religions teach that. We will always try to be good people or bad people," Megawati said as quoted from her written statement, Thursday, January 18.

"Strengthening is good. But for me, when I have to stop, yes, stop," he continued.

Megawati said that humans should not be complacent about their power. "Don't forget the land. That's a trial. Don't forget that humans are always tried," she said.

Megawati had mentioned about the 2024 General Election at the event. He said that the public must realize that their fate will be determined from the democratic party so that they must be fought for.

"I think to provide a way of lighting to all Indonesian people, this election is actually for you. Nobody, that it is your right to determine who will be the leader," said the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"The people's right to win, don't be afraid of intimidation. Don't be afraid of power because power does not last. What lasts forever is God, remember," concluded Megawati.
