Firli Bahuri Silenced Asked About The Reason For Being Absent From The Police Call

JAKARTA - The inactive KPK chairman Firli Bahuri remained silent when he was confirmed about the reason he was absent from the summons of the Metro Jaya Police today.

It is known that Firli, who has been named a suspect in the alleged extortion or acceptance of gratuities from former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo, chose not to attend the examination. Instead, he showed his nose at the ACLC Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.

Firli also remained silent a thousand languages when asked why not attending was deemed inappropriate by the police. He chose to get into the car right away.

As previously reported, Firli Bahuri announced his resignation as chairman of the anti-corruption commission after meeting with the KPK Supervisory Board on Thursday afternoon, December 21.

Meanwhile, Polda Metro Jaya said Firli's reason for absent from the summons in the extortion case of Syahrul Yasin Limpo was inappropriate. They will even send a second summons in the near future.

"Investigators consider that the reasons presented in the letter are not considered appropriate and reasonable reasons," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak in his statement, Thursday, December 21.

"Investigators will issue and send a second summons to the suspect," said Ade.

Regarding this process, the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto stated that he would include a warrant to bring in the second summons against Firli Bahuri.

"If it is considered that the first summons will be sent again today, we will fly over the second summons and prepare a warrant to bring it," said Karyoto.

In fact, Karyoto emphasized that later Firli Bahuri would be arrested if he did not fulfill the second summons again. However, for now it has not been conveyed about the time of the second summons to the inactive KPK chairman.

"If it is not heeded (second call, ed) yes, we will definitely issue an arrest warrant," he concluded.
