DENPASAR - Polres I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area, Bali, arrested a Filipino citizen with the initials JPMP (33) who was suspected of having depression when he arrived and damaged facilities at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim) of the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area Police, Iptu Rionson Ritonga, said the foreigner was secured by Avsec officers at Ngurah Rai Airport on Thursday, at 03.00 WITA, for making noise by shouting and destroying facilities at the international arrival terminal.

However, Rionson did not specify what was damaged by JPMP.

"Members of the SPKT initially received a report from Avsec officers regarding the existence of foreigners who made noise at the international arrival terminal, then picket members rushed to the TKP," said Rionson, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 8.

Arriving at the international arrival terminal at Ngurah Rai Airport, members received information that the foreigner had fled north to the parking lot.

The police together with Avsec officers then chased and found JPMP. The foreigner was immediately secured to the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area Police Office.

"This foreigner cannot be invited to communicate well, every time he is spoken to he is always angry and so on," said Rionson.

Officers have also made efforts, such as contacting representatives of their consulates and coordinating further with relevant agencies.

After a while, the foreigner was taken by officers from the Badung Regency Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) (BKO Kuta) to Prof. Ngoerah Denpasar Hospital for medical examination.

"So, we have not been able to confirm what the cause is, waiting for the results of the health check," he said.
