No Surya Paloh Directions, NasDem Calls SYL's Resignation On Its Own Initiative

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party emphasized that there was no directive or intervention from the General Chairperson of Surya Paloh regarding the rumors of Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL's resignation as Minister of Agriculture (Mentan).The General Treasurer (Bendum) of the NasDem Party Ahmad Sahroni, said that SYL's resignation was his own initiative because he stumbled on a legal case. "So it is not a directive from the General Chairperson of Surya Paloh, but from himself," continued Sahroni. Previously, President Joko Widodo said that he had received information that Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo had been in Indonesia since Wednesday, October 4 night. "Yes, I was notified earlier from the State Secretariat," Jokowi said after attending the celebration of the TNI's 78th Anniversary at Monas, Jakarta, Thursday 5 October.
