Circulating Methamphetamine, The Son Of The Deputy Regent Of Tanjung Balai Karimun Kepri Was Arrested By The Police

KARIMUN - The son of the deputy regent of Tanjung Balai Karimun, Riau Islands was arrested by the Tanjung Balai Karimun Police for allegedly being involved in the circulation of drugs from the Malaysian-Indonesian international network. DA, son of the deputy regent of Tanjung Balai Karimun, Riau Islands, was secured with evidence of methamphetamine weighing 1.9 kilograms.

When asked that the son of the official arrested was the son of the deputy regent of Karimun, Karimun Police Chief AKBP Ryky Widya Muharam did not dismiss.

"The role of the son of an official plays a role in taking and storing the methamphetamine items. This official's son has previously been involved in drugs. Prior to methamphetamine, he had also been hit by marijuana cases. He has been involved in drugs twice," said AKBP Ryky Muharam, Wednesday 9 August

The police chief said that this arrest began with information from the public which was then followed up.

Apart from DA, the police also arrested three other suspects at a hotel in Tanjung Balai Karimun with 100 grams of methamphetamine evidence. Of the three suspects, officers carried out developments and obtained information that the methamphetamine was still at the house of the suspect DA who was also a recidivist in a drug case.

It is known, DA who picked up evidence of methamphetamine from Malaysia and kept it in his house.

For their actions, the four suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
