TANAH BUMBU - Members of the Satui Tanah Bumbu Police of South Kalimantan Province arrested MPH (32) as a methamphetamine dealer. The police beat the perpetrator because he resisted when he was arrested.

AKP Saryanto, who was accompanied by the Head of the Satui Police, AKP Hardaya, explained that initially, members of the Satui Police received information from the public that someone was carrying methamphetamine-type narcotics in front of the Alfamart KM 166 shop.

From that report, members of the Satui Police Criminal Investigation Unit went to the scene, the police also examined the perpetrators, but there was resistance between the police officers and the perpetrators.

"In the end, the officers were able to paralyze the perpetrators, and after being searched they found several packages of narcotics of the methamphetamine type weighing 3.94 grams which were ready for distribution", he explained.

Apart from that, the officers also confiscated a box of branded candy which was used as a place to store the methamphetamine.

Currently, the police are continuing to investigate this case, and whether there are still other networks used as meth dealers.

"Investigators have increased the cases of perpetrators to become suspects, and they are being charged under RI Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum threat of five years in prison", he said.
