JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will inaugurate the General Election Commission (KPU) commissioners and members of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) for the 2022-2027 period today, Tuesday, April 12.

President Jokowi conveyed this inauguration during a limited meeting at the Bogor Presidential Palace on Sunday, April 10.

"On April 12, we will inaugurate the KPU and Bawaslu for the 2022-2027 period and immediately prepare for the simultaneous general elections and regional elections in 2024," Jokowi said as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube.

For KPU commissioners, there are seven people who will be sworn in. Meanwhile, there are five Bawaslu members.
