Landslides That Closed Jalan Lencoh Boyolali Successfully Cleaned, Traffic Access Back To Normal

The landslide material that had closed the road on the Solo-Selo-Borobudur (SSB) route, its place in Lencoh Village, Selo District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Friday (19/1) morning, was successfully removed.

The material, which closed the 50 meter long road with a height of about 5 meters, had caused the flow of vehicles from two directions, both from Boyolali and Magelang to be completely jammed.

Sarwoto (50), a local resident, said a number of joint officers from BPBD, TNI, Polri, and local residents removed landslides with the help of one heavy equipment unit.

In that incident, two cars skidded under a cliff about 6 meters because they were pushed by landslide material, but did not cause any casualties.

"The car passed when the disaster occurred, so it was pushed down a cliff about six meters deep, but there were no casualties. The car was then towed up," he said, quoted by ANTARA.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPBD Boyolali Regency, Suratno, said that the landslide material in Lencoh Village, Selo District, Boyolali had been successfully removed with heavy equipment.

Road access can be passed back normally at around 12.00 WIB.

BPBD also received reports of landslides that hit residents' houses in Suroteleng Village and also in Dukuh Katahan, Sangiran Village.

"Hopefully, with this incident, people will be more vigilant and don't need to panic," he said.
