Phone Link for iOS Has Now Rolled Out to All Windows 11 Customers

JAKARTA - After receiving feedback from Windows Insiders last March, Microsoft has now officially announced that Microsoft Phone Link for iOS on Windows 11 is now rolling out to users globally in 39 languages ​​in 85 markets.

"Recently we announced that Windows 11 is extending our Phone Link feature to enable connection between Windows 11 PCs and iOS mobile devices with the aim of removing barriers between your phone and PC and making it easier to connect with the people you care about most," said Ali Akgun , Corporate Vice President, Windows and Devices in an official announcement on the Microsoft blog.

This Microsoft Phone Link feature was initially rolled out to Android users for some time. With this feature, you can access anything instant from your mobile to Windows PC. And in February, Microsoft added new features to it.

"With the ability to now make these PC/iOS Phone connections, we expect our Windows 11 customers to never have to worry about missing important phone calls or texts while focusing on their Windows PC," added Akgun.

Once activated by Windows 11 customers, Phone Link for iOS will offer basic iOS support such as calls, messages (iMessage), and access to contacts. So you can receive notifications from all three of those apps right to your Windows.

So, over the next few weeks, you will start to see this feature available on your PC. You only need to find "Phone Link" on your PC, then you will be guided by Microsoft to complete the installation step by step.

Note that Phone Link for iOS requires an iPhone with iOS 14 or higher, a Windows 11 device, a Bluetooth connection, and the latest version of the Phone Link app.

Unfortunately, this feature is not available for iPad (iPadOS) or macOS. Also, you can't picture/video and group messaging there.
