South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian R Djajadi revealed the identity of the owner of a nearly 11 gram methamphetamine package at a cockfighting gambling arena in Gambit District, Banja Regency. The man with the initials F, the owner of methamphetamine, has now been named a suspect.

"So after the deepening process by collecting all the evidence, finally, F was confirmed as the owner of methamphetamine and was already a suspect," said Police Chief Andi in Banjarmasin as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 14.

The Kapolda revealed that the urine test results on F also tested positive for drugs. Investigators can ensnare with the threat of punishment in accordance with Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.

Previously, the police raided the location suspected of being a cockfighting gambling arena on Wednesday (7/6) by a joint team from the Propam, Ditreskrimum, Ditintelkam and the South Kalimantan Police Narcotics Directorate.

Likewise, regarding the gambling that was raided, the police could not process the law further because there were no gambling incidents when officers arrived.

It is suspected that the cockfighting players fled before officers carried out the raid and only found a few male chickens and motorbikes left at the location.

"If there are gambling activities, the owner of the place can be subject to criminal penalties, including people who are caught playing at the location," said the South Kalimantan Police Chief.
