PAPUA - Manokwari City Police (Polresta), West Papua arrested three suspects of drug dealers of marijuana and methamphetamine in the area.
Manokwari Deputy Chief of Police Commissioner Agustina Sineri said the three suspects who had been arrested had the initials D (45), SRH (25), and MF (18).

"There were seven bags containing dried marijuana that were secured from MF's hands," said Agustina.
After three days (May 23, 2023), he said, the Narcotics Satres Team again arrested the suspect SRH with evidence of dried marijuana as much as 15.88 grams.
The police charged the suspect with Article 144 paragraph (1) subsidiary Article 111 paragraph (1) subsidiary Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
"The threat of imprisonment is a maximum of 12 years and a fine of at least Rp. 800 million," said Agustina.
Furthermore, the Narcotics Satres Team arrested suspect D on May 25, 2023 along with evidence of methamphetamine weighing 13.24 grams and Rp600 thousand in cash.
The suspect is subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with the threat of life imprisonment or at least five years.
"Suspect D was arrested in Prafi District at around 05.00 WIT," said Agustina.
Head of the Manokwari Police Narcotics Unit, Police Inspector One Lukas Rosihol, confirmed that from the results of the urine examination of the three suspects, only the SRH suspect tested positive for being contaminated with drugs.
The police continue to develop the three drug abuse cases, in order to uncover their respective networks.
He explained that the shipment of marijuana-type narcotics used sea transportation from Jayapura, Papua Province. Meanwhile, methamphetamine is sent by air transportation.
