The Directorate of Traffic of the West Java Police confirmed that there was a fire burst incident at the rest area of KM 86 Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road in the Subang Regency, West Java, which did not interfere with the traffic flow of Lebaran 2023.
West Java Police Traffic Director Kombes Wibowo said the incident occurred at around 08.00-09.00 WIB. The rest area position is on the route leading to Jakarta.

Wibowo also did not explain the cause of the burst of fire. However, he said, this had been handled by a detective team from the West Java Police and the local police.

Meanwhile, the Head of Patrol for the Cipali Toll Road, Ipda Raden Nugraha, said that the burst of fire was thought to have originated from natural gas.
