BIGBANG's G-Dragon Exclusive Contract With YG Entertainment Expires

JAKARTA - YG Entertainment announced that the exclusive contract with BIGBANG's G-Dragon has ended. However, the agency explained that they were still discussing collaboration in the future.

“Our exclusive contract with G-Dragon has ended. However, we are currently working together to discuss separate contracts for some of his other activities such as advertisements," YG Entertainment said today, Tuesday, June 6 quoting Herald Pop.

"We will discuss a separate contract when he resumes his musical activities and we will provide our full support," he said again.

Fans seem to have guessed their exclusive contract is ending. This started when G-Dragon was not listed on the list of artists at YG Entertainment.

The singer named Kwon Ji Yong also expressed his desire to release new music in the future. Until now, neither G-Dragon nor YG Entertainment has provided any information about the idol's return.

In addition, G-Dragon is currently busy with a number of collaborations in the world of fashion and advertising. He collaborated with Nike to release the PEACEMINUSONE collaboration in the form of shoes. He was also present at Chanel fashion shows and became an ambassador for several products.

G-Dragon followed the other three BIGBANG members namely Taeyang, T.O.P, and Daesung who had left YG Entertainment earlier. Taeyang joined The Black Label, an agency that is still under the YG Entertainment company.

Then there is T.O.P, who recently announced his departure from all activities in the music world. Currently, he is an artist and a businessman and is preparing to take part in a space project called dearMoon.

Then there is Daesung who is under the auspices of an R&D agency and is preparing for his comeback.
