Struggling To Face Cancer, Nunung Grateful To Still Get A Job

JAKARTA - Tri Retno Prayudati, better known as Nunung, is struggling with breast cancer. So far, the comedian from Solo has undergone three chemotherapys, which also makes him have to cut his hair to plontos.

Nunung said the treatment he has been undergoing so far is still positive. He will undergo chemotherapy again in the near future, before undergoing surgery.

"His condition is fine, although the process is still long, right, it hasn't been operated yet. Maybe next week if I'm not mistaken, there will be another chemo," said Nunung in Tendean, South Jakarta on Tuesday, May 9.

However, while undergoing chemotherapy, Nunung feels grateful because he still gets a job. For a moment he can forget his pain while working.

"Alhamdulillah, because I had a job yesterday when I was in chemo, so I concentrated on my work, was happy with work, even though I arrived home the pain started again," said Nunung.

Nunung, who initially admitted that he could not accept his illness, is now able to accept his condition of having to fight cancer.

"Yes, humanely, at first I didn't accept it, like I didn't believe it. But back again, I don't care about genetics in a family with cancer, almost all my family has cancer, from my father, mother, uncle, aunt and sister. But thank God my brother can survive, as long as you don't stress," he said.

Regarding the operation plan to remove the tumor, Nunung said chemotherapy was carried out so that her breasts did not need to be removed. Until now, he is still consulting a doctor.

"Last week, twice the doctor had chemotherapy and checked, the lump had gone down, it was shrinking, it could be taken. It's just coordination with the surgeon first," said Nunung.

"Immediately lifted the lump but not her breasts. Why didn't the chemo go into surgery, yes, because it retains the breasts," he concluded.
